Leighton founded Staxon Homes in Saskatchewan in 2022, after more than fifteen years in the trades, and brought the company to the Okanagan. Building on the prairie, where frost and a short season decide the sequence, shaped how Staxon plans every project today.

He sets the standards Staxon builds to: insulated concrete forms on every home, a schedule sequenced around the season and site access, and clear reporting to clients from first estimate to handover. His experience runs from renovations to six-storey apartment buildings. He is a BC Licensed Residential Builder and a member of CHBA Central Okanagan and SICA.
